Supervision of establishing a one-million-ton unit of steelmaking and hot rolling in Qorveh and related infrastructures (Kordestan province)

To strengthen the steel industry in Kordestan province and combat the sale of raw materials, the Kordestan Steel Industry Co. has embarked on a project to establish a continuous steelmaking and hot rolling steel sheet unit with a capacity of one million tons. This facility will be located in the city of Qorveh, Kordestan province, on a 90-hectare plot of land in the west of Iran. Using advanced production methods including CSP, casting, and continuous rolling, this factory will produce one million tons of high-quality hot steel sheets annually. The sheets will range in thickness from 1.2 to 12 mm and in width from 800 to 1600 mm and will be efficiently packaged in coils weighing 27 tons each.
