Sirjan Iranian Steel Co. (SISCO) affiliated with the Middle East Mines & Mineral Industries Development Holding Co. (MIDHCO), is currently exploring the possibility of constructing a dewatering plant to recover water from the tailings of the thickener underflow in phases 1 and 2 of its iron ore concentrate production factory. This proposed plant would allow for the recovery of water from the tailings generated from the processing lines of phases 1 and 2, ultimately enabling the recycled water to be reintroduced back into the concentrate production cycle through a dewatering process.
The entering volume of the dewatering plant from the mentioned tailings is 856 t/h pulp with a solid percentage of approximately 50 percent (428 t/h solid and 428 t/h water), and in the factory process, the high-quality product that can be reused in the concentrate production process should be returned to the production circle, and the semi-dried cake with a maximum moisture of 18 percent will be considered as waste. In this project, Kavoshgaran Consulting Engineers provides consulting services, general and staff engineering, and supervision of EPC contractor’s activity.
